Lego Team Fortress 2 and Portal

Everyone played with Legos when they were younger, right? If not, you were a deprived, and sad, sad child. Some people continue to build and customize Legos in to some amazing creations. While browsing the internet tonight, I came across Lego recreations of Team Fortress 2 and Portal.

Honestly, I just find these amazing - it's so neat what someone can do with Legos and what they can create. Obviously, these were made by the respective creators themselves - the TF2 figures were created by Brendan Mauro and Portal by Nate Mac. I wonder how long it took them to make these! You can click the links above to view the full galleries of the Lego creations, or, if you're lazy, click here for the TF2 one, and here for Portal.

This is really impressive, I wonder if any of those pieces were custom made, or if they are all taken from your standard selection of Lego pieces? I'm guessing some of it is custom made, but still fascinating none the less.

I'm guessing a good bit is custom made (honestly, they look like real Legos, I wonder how they did that) and some of it is using bits and pieces from standard lego pieces.

Very cool. I had a friend who used to do stuff like this. He even entered competitions... yes, they compete.

(note: your bottom Portal link goes to the TF2 album)

That's just crazy talk! (Thanks)

These Legos are amazing, and really well done. Do you hear that Lego? You'd probably have some good sales on these if you ever made actual sets!
