The new map pack for Call of Duty 4 was already released to owners of the Xbox 360 version of the game while PS3 owners were temporarily left out in the cold. No longer is this the case, as some firm dates have been announced for owners of the PS3 version in both North America and Europe.

I have some great PS3 news for everyone! We have hammered out the details for the upcoming DLC and will be releasing the new Variety Map Pack on PS3 in North America on Thursday, April 24. In addition, We're also really excited that the Map Pack passed Sony Europe certification and will be propped on the PlayStation Network on May 1.

There you have it PS3 gamers. If you're in NA, you'll only have about a week to wait while those in Europe have a slightly longer delay. There will also be Double XP weekends to celebrate the release of the packs in each region. North America's weekend will run from April 25 - April 27, and Europe will have their weekend from May 2 - May 4.
