There was a small, but important update released for the Gldsrc (Half-Life 1 engine). The full change list is as follows for the update.
  • Prevented various cvar exploits
Awesome! There was also a small update for Frontlines released yesterday that fixes a shader model 2 issue.

Geez they must be running out of stuff to do at Valve. Next news post will probably be "id patches Doom95"

Yeah, they're running out of stuff to do. Apparently they forgot they own CS and it's their responsibility to patch it since nobody else will do it for them.

Honestly though... when VALVe isn't fixing bugs, they get criticism for wasting their time and not fixing their broken games. Then when they turn around and do fix a bunch of little bugs, they get criticism from the group that believes they should already be playing HL3. No matter what they're gonna have someone criticizing them.

So now it's my turn. If they wanted to really fix something in goldsrc... several of my games now have ads in them. Work on sorting that garbage out eh?
