Is Epic Games headed to Steam? - Rumor Control

Nothing like a little rumor to get the blood flowing, right? Well, a curious member of the Steam Forums found what might be a key to the next developer to appear on Steam.

That's right, Epic Games might very well be picking up Steam as another method of distribution. The user examined the contents of the clientregistry.blob file (anyone who's used Steam knows what this is) to discover information surrounding "EPGComp." Taking a guess at the "EPG" the user figured it stood for Epic Games. A number of applications seems to already be associated with the EPGComp, with at least 12 noted at last count.

Keep in mind, this is all a rumor until proven to be true or false by Valve or Epic.

Finally Epic can stop complaining about how "PC gaming is dieing" and get back into the game.

I <3 Epic games. One of my Top favorite dev of games console\PC. Steam has really picked up over the past year, its nice to see more and more companies come on so I don't have to waste gas and litterally battle the crowd when a new game (I.E. UT3) comes out...

I think if we see this, there will be a large boost in sales for Epic games, and, like the first poster said, they can stop complaining about the lack of support in the PC market.
