Let's face it, there are good server administrators and there are ones that are worse than the hackers that infest your favorite online game. Don't be a bad admin, seriously. Nobody will play in your server, with the possible exception of your buddy Bubba.

Probably the biggest factor in determining your server’s popularity will be decided by the way you run it. You must remember that when you first get your server, it is the exact same as every other server currently operating for that game. So, your goal is to make yours unique to give gamers a reason to choose your server over the others. While there are many ways to achieve this, which ones you choose will depend on your style of gaming and what you like in your servers.
