There have been quite a few hot rumors that Rogue Software (the makers of Alice) have been hired to make Counter-Strike 2 for Valve Software's Half-Life 2 as of late, but after talking to a couple people very close to the publishing source (trust me on this), it is indeed not the case, nor will it ever be. Rogue Software may be developing some single player content for the original Half-Life, but nothing has been signed so far.
