MAC-10
Half-Pint: The big MAC attack, would you like fries with that? I have a lot of fun with this weapon. Most CS players seem to despise it for some reason...could be that accuracy thing. I use this like a chainsaw because it's only useful at close range spray and pray scenarios. But it owns someone at close range with its high damage and high rate of fire. Only thing I hate about this gun is that you buy half clips of ammo, which is irritating for players like me who play bind free.

rizzuh: It's also very expensive, because the ammo costs a lot and comes in 12-round packs, like you said. It's a good fun, but not for the price. I'd opt for the MP5.

Half-Pint: What is the deal with these stupid 12 round packs? Was the CS team completely out to lunch? There is no good reason except to piss off people like me who don't use binds...maybe that's what they were trying to do.

rizzuh: You don't use binds? Perhaps you should visit my site, at csnation.counter-strike.net/rze/!!! They're the best ever!!!!!!

Okay, enough shamelessness. The 12 round thing really sucks the big one. It's a bug more than anything and should be fixed by Valve. It also makes .45 weapons, which may be good on their own, cost far too much.

Half-Pint: It's beneath me to ever do something like "Check out Counter-Strike 2D for your tactical plans, http://www.csnation.net/cs2d " I can't believe you stooped to such a shameless low. I'm right, you're right, so fix it Valve!

UMP .45
Half-Pint: This is a weird one. It's not as fast firing as any other SMG, it has a smaller clip than any other SMG but it has the best per round penetrating power. I first thought this gun sucked because you couldn't spray with its slow rate of fire. What I did notice is that if you like to just tap your trigger to maintain accuracy then you fire just as fast with an mp5 or an UMP, and if that's your game take the UMP because it does more damage.

rizzuh: You're doing Valve a favor. Perhaps we should just agree that this weapon is freaking horrible? The UMP costs more than an MP5, does less damage over time, and sounds like someone blowing air onto a piece of paper. No thanks.

Half-Pint: Why, isn't Valve paying you, too? It isn't a great addition but it isn't as bad as the elites, how's that? I have used it and I was trying to justify it, I really was. It's just hard to judge if in any of those cases where I owned with the UMP I would have just mopped the floor with an mp5...OK Freaking Horrible.

rizzuh: People have owned me with the UMP, but it's always luck or something. Usually they find me off guard. You shouldn't rely on the state of your enemy to be able to kill them. When someone is running at you full auto and you're counting shee-- err, firing your crappy UMP, you'll regret wasting your money.

Half-Pint: Nuff said.

rizzuh: Only I may end a conversation.

AK-47
Half-Pint: A broken gun when put next to most other guns in terms of cost to effect, which of course makes it an ideal choice for most. It's cheap and highly effective. You can buy one on the second round of combat, which can be devastating to the CT who can only get a MP5. And in later rounds you can almost always have Kevlar and an AK.

Under no circumstances except the worst should you go full auto. When firing full auto the AK has about as good aim as rizzuh (and that ain't pretty). Try to use short controlled bursts.

rizzuh: This weapon is, in my opinion, the least balanced gun in the game. This is why you should use it to your advantage. You can't hold on to fire, but bursting is now commonplace and will score you many-a-headshot.

Half-Pint: In a nut shell, everyone else abuses it and you should too.

rizzuh: Thanks for stealing my thunder.

Half-Pint: That's what I'm here for, you're just window dressing.

SIG SG-552 Commando
Half-Pint: Think of an Aug, increase the damage and rate of fire and decrease the accuracy by marginal amounts. Voila! You get the Sig Commando.

Personally, I enjoy this weapon more than the Aug as it conforms more to my short-medium range assault style of play. It's not as accurate as the Aug so it is more useful to get up close and personal. In many ways it's like an expensive sub-machine gun with greater penetration and a 2x scope.

rizzuh: The scope is useless because it bounces too much and, worse, you can't burst while zoomed in because the firing speed is halved -- that means by the time your second shot comes out your scope is four feet off from the amazing bounce that the trampol--err, recoil gives you. It's a good weapon unzoomed and has a nice rate of fire.

Half-Pint: It's weird how the terrorist scoped weapon behaves more like the M4A1 than the Steyr Aug.

rizzuh: This weapon is actually a very popular Counter-Terrorist weapon (in real life), while the AUG would probably end up in the Terrorist's hands more often. In the game, though, the SIG is less accurate, but more powerful, like the AK. They go hand in hand.

Half-Pint: More power! I personally prefer the Commando over the AK because I find its scope gives it more flexibility for any situation and I have more control at full auto, of course it is about $1000 more than the AK.

rizzuh: The AK is more powerful and, for that reason, will always be more popular.
