If buying figurines and art books wasn't enough for you, gamers can now earn more Mass Effect 3 unlocks by playing through a number of Facebook related missions. Yep, the hits just keep on coming from the upcoming BioWare action-RPG.
Mass Effect 3 Mission Command on Facebook will let you spam your friends in various "missions" that will help you unlock Xbox Live Avatar items, add-ons, and more. Remedy Entertainment has revealed that the PC release of Alan Wake is set in stone for release on February 16 through Steam. Other retailers, such as Origin, will receive the game shortly after.
The price will be just $29.99 (USD) for just the game and the added content that was released for the Xbox 360 version of the game. For $34.99 players can pick up the Limited Collector's Edition.

Is this a sign of THQ's impending implosion? Hopefully not, but the news still isn't good for Metro: Last Light as the game is delayed 6-9 months into Q1 of 2013.
Originally slated for release in the Summer of 2012, the 4A Games developed title has to go back into the oven for a while longer for unspecified reasons. According to the latest blog entry on the Team Fortress 2 blog, Valve has laid out some of their plans for the coming year. Oh, and there will probably also be more hats.

Damn, these new screenshots from the PS3 exclusive, The Last of Us, look absolutely amazing.

Hot on the heels of EA picking up a number of publishers last month, the company continues to grow its Origin offerings with even more publishers joining the service.

In a filing with the SEC today, it was revealed that THQ might be in bigger trouble than we all initially thought. The standard disclosure filing notes that up to 240 employees have been laid off. The CEO, Brian Farrell, has also agreed to a pay reduction of nearly 50% from $718,500 to $359,250.

The Webmaster for Black Mesa (you remember Black Mesa, right?) made a forum post on the official Black Mesa boards that sort of alluded to something special happening soon.
It was said that once the soundtrack is released, one could expect the launch of black mesa two weeks after. I can now say that a new website will be launched with the soundtrack in preparation for the mod. Fuck if we care about the current website. Well, I guess this is a far less stupid idea than buying crowbars and sending them to Valve. A bunch of gamers are going to play Half-Life 2 on February 4, 2012 in order to protest against Valve's silence regarding Half-Life 3. And by "a bunch" I really mean the over 32,000 members that have joined the group as of this posting.

I need something really good like big open maps (El Alamein, Naval maps for ex) and maybe a new game mode (like Advance and Secure, CTF, etc). If it's urban maps in the US I'll think I'll pass.
