Friday July 20th, CS2D SPRAY TAG
Innerchild from EDIT
STRIKE was kind enough to make Counter-Strike 2D its own spray tag. This
means you can advertise my site and make sure everyone has the plans they need
to do well :) It looks pretty slick in game. Thanks a lot to Innerchild. Download
it here (12kb).

I got some really neato keen stuff coming your way in the next week. I should
get a good sized update done on the weekend.
Cheers, Half-Pint
Tuesday July 17th, Potpourri Update
Today I have finally managed to gather all of the recent submissions that I
have collected from loyal fans of CS. Some of these submissions should have been
posted sometime ago but I have been sick and very busy of late. So the new stuff
is:
Image Maps
These are 2D plans showing the key areas of 3 CS maps as they would
appear from playing CS. These maps were completed by Greg
Off, great work and I look forward to more in his series.
CS_DUST (259kb)
CS_INFERNO
(396kb)
CS_PRODIGY (202kb)
Russian Translations
These maps were translated into the Russian language adding another
language to the very multi-lingual content already present on CS2D. These
Russian translations and photo edits were completed thanks to Trogwar,
great work man.

CS_MILITIA (98kb)
Re-work of DE_AZTEC
As many of you will have noted the current map submission of Aztec
is a little out of date with respect to the 1.1 map. This submission was done by
[tStR]Striker Zulu and I am very grateful
he took the time to make some changes to someone else's map . He chopped out the
excess area and reformatted the map slightly. While this isn't perfect it should
help clans out substantially.

Tactical Write-up for DE_DUST
This is a handy tactical guide for Dust. It uses both my map for
Dust and some work in word. I converted the doc to a PDF for your convenience.
Thanks to [CsP]Zou Li for this quick
tactical guide.

New animated Banner
Night-Viper or as
some of you know him "The Limper" has done up a cool new animated
banner for CS2D. Check it out!

I haven't changed the collected works PDF but I have added the guide and new
maps to the COLLECTED
WORKS.ZIP (3.5Megs) file.
Looks like I finally got caught up :) I just wanted to spend some time to
go over what I'm looking for and what I plan to do with my site over the coming
months. Next month will see the one year anniversary (on August 17th) of my
site. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do to celebrate but I'm sure I will
think of something.
Next month will also see CS 1.3 (I cross my fingers :) which means
new maps and updated old ones. This will undoubtedly keep me very busy. If you
submitted a map to me that gets changed in the next release let me know if you
plan on updating your map as it would be a god send for me.
Over the last few months there has been less content designed by me
and more by the cs community. This is a change I have been thankful for, as my
job got really busy this past year. I have very much appreciated the submissions
I have been receiving and I hope to continue getting cool stuff in my mail box.
I would like to take a moment to go over what I am looking for. I
am looking for original 2D tactical plans of either official or unofficial CS
maps. While I don't have the time to make maps for other HL mods feel free to
submit yours and I will most likely post them up. I will also accept duplicates
of 2D maps already present as long as you map it with something new in mind, for
example Greg Off's image maps. I am also interested in having any of the 2D
plans on this site translated into different languages (this is demanding more
on you than me but I will post it up). I would also like to get a hold of more
tactical maps for my gallery or tactical write-ups on strategies for various
maps. Other than the above I also accept just about anything with a CS2D theme
to it.
This is defiantly my longest write-up on CS2D but I thought you
needed to hear from me since I have been afk for awhile.
Have a fantastic week, Half-Pint
Saturday July 14th Well I'm better now, new
stuff on the way
I am finally completely over my asthma and back to work. Things have really
pulled together for me over the last week or so and I'm feeling much better.
Thank you to your support and I apologize for not responding to my email in 3
weeks. I'm trying hard to catch up on what I have missed and I got a few
submitted works to post up over the next few days.
I'm back, Half-Pint
