Here it is, the first Counter-Strike 2 mailbag!
from: sLy|SandmanIs it so hard to just kidnap a girl on her way to Junior High? Kids these days have no work ethic! Put forth some effort to see a heart and entrails; you don't need a video game for that.
You know how in spectator you can fly through people and stuff, Well wouldnt it be cool if when you flew through someone you could see their organs and heart and stuff.
from: GpigThey'd have to design entire maps around the Segway! They would be maps of the future!
Also the ct's could have segways to help them move around quickly (not to mention if they crash it will look cool).
from: guapolocoI don't know about you, but I snap my fingers and doors open magically. If you can't do this then it means you're not cool at all. Sorry.
I hope the doors react like real doors instead that
"auto open/close" crappy thing. You could choose to open a door, kick it down or blow it up like I do in real life.
from: orphyWho the hell would camp on a wooden deck? Was he planning some sort of family barbecue?
I think the new physics engine will be a great treat for those of us who hate campers. For example, there's someone on the opposing team camping on a wooden deck. Shoot away the supports, and watch them fall. That'll teach them not to camp when I'm around. Oh yeah.
from: odiex31You're far too trite and I'm fairly tired of your sass. What a rude fellow!
It might sound trite, but I think it would be great if the broken wood and glass acted as shrapnel. Not to mention collapsing bridges that cause damage. And how about a nade that doesn't stay in the same postion in flight. When things bounce, they rotate and move like a football.
Shrapnel sounds cool. That way you wouldn't have to hit someone to kill them, which means I might actually kill someone in CS2.
from: ExoYeah, I remember the great go-cart terrorist attack of 1973.
I think vehicles will be a massive part of Counter-Strike 2, because in reality they play a large role in CT's and T's, so it would only make sense to include them.
from: brenter"Haha! You may not be dead, but that fractured shoulder will take weeks to heal!"
The first thought that game to my mind was planting under a light fixture or something and then being able to shoot it down while someone tries to defuse; thus, crushing them.
Reminds me of that old game Mouse Trap. It would be sweet if you could roll a marble at an MP5's trigger from halfway across the room and have the gun kill the entire enemy team. Then it would turn around and shoot you for being such a lame dork who's too lazy to actually shoot people with guns.
from: chuckletrousersHAHAHAHA GENIUS GENIUS FUNNY YOU ARE FUNNY
I think that the engine should be used to do my physics homework for me while I play CS
from: lucky_duckyRicocheting might be nice the first few times, but I think people would end up just dropping their weapons and playing CS2 pong.
in addition, I think that the engine should account for bullet ricochet in certain places, and the fact that a ricocheting bullet can still hurt people should be taken into account when considering bullet speed, etc.
from: Gameshot911Yeah, think of the possibilities. You could have a shaft or something move up and down. Wow, you just blew my mind! That is amazing!
I've always felt that CS was missing movable parts. Sure, you have doors, i guess an elevator on siege (but who plays that anymore)...with the new Source engine it would be amazing to have some complex moving machinary ...could be just background or even something that your trigger. Just think of the posibilities...
NEXT STUPID IDEA
from: tafferIf they added a new weapon called "dice," we'd totally be set. "Come on black!"
Realistic weapons dropping. No more laying it flat on the ground - let it bounce/tumble onto the floor with suitable metallic/plastic sounds as you cast off your weapon for a better one (or just one with ammo).
Not really exploiting Source to the full, but would be a nice feature.
