mailbag: e3, hl2, and tf2
Hello there, e-sports fans!! I'm back from my little hiatus and I'm ready to break out my tap dancing shoes on this mailbag. Now, asspennies did a "serious" mailbag, but it wasn't well received. So, to make up for it I've decided to fill this one with joke after joke to mask my lack of HL2 knowledge.

Screw this intro crap, let's see what everyone thinks we'll see from HL2 and TF2 at E3!

Half-Life 2 is actually going to have a new twist in gameplay. Unfortunately Morgan was exposed to too much radiation and mutated into a monkey! Thus, Half-Life 2 you will play as a monkey. You'll have to collect banana skins to complete your death-ray and make a bridge to the past completely out of toothpicks and marshmellows so you can save yourself from becoming a monkey. Naturally there will be tons of monsters that warp in from wherever for no apparent reason at all so you will be armed with quite a large bag of rocks to throw at them.
Or, maybe in HL2 they'll continue calling the main character GORDON instead of Morgan. You see what happens when we let them talk? They just embarrass themselves. Now go back to your dungeon, girl.

half life 2? hmm... last time i tried was may 2001, and this was with almost 1-year delay. but hey! who wants to see half life 2? lets play UT2k3, cause it's you need to be very skilled to jump like a deer, always hold your fire button and kill with those 6-ammo rocket launchers
At first I thought this was going to be one of those "down with VALVe, HL2 SUXXX" posts, but it turns out this guy is just a ball of pasty angst. I think your black lipstick is smeared, freak.

I just expect to see some screenshots.—- team fortress - I could almost care less about just cause it's been delayed SOOOOO long.

of course it looked cool - and I would probably play it

I just wanna see the progress of Halflife 2-

maybe the story, see if it lives up to the first one.
They'll really have to work some magic to make HL2's story live up to the first. Lots of games nowadays have movie-quality stories and very immersive environments. Basically it'll be like The Matrix: Reloaded. The first was good, but now that everyone has copied the style it's going to take another breakthrough.

Actually I'm just obsessed with The Matrix. Really, I am. I call my mom Neo, dudes.

Other than the usual updates you see in a game, (graphics, sound, etc etc etc) hopefully a hack proof engine and better netcode.

They'd better start showing some better anti-cheat protection.
I think they're doing very well with CS right now. You're never going to stop people from finding ways around things—it's human nature. If someone wants to beat the system, chances are they probably will. For example, I was trying to get the tag off this new shirt I bought and my sister was like you can't do it, but I really wanted to and I got it off without scissors. It's just triumph of the human spirit.

Trust me, it's a cool shirt.

Hopefully we'll see Half-Life 2 as the next great advancement in computer graphics and game play. And hopefully we'll see that the graphics are SO advanced that it will force anyone who wants to play Half-Life 2 to spend upwards of $500 to upgrade their systems. JOY!
Oh snap! $500?! Looks like someone's going to be working overtime at Burger King. By someone I mean you, loser. Now go get the mop.

Well, if I were to compare these 2 projects obviously do not have a great reputation because they have been delayed, delayed, delayed...(you get the point). Other projects Valve has been working on have also been delayed (*cough* Condition Zero *cough*). So really, I am not even expecting either of these games to even be at E3 because of their terrible delayed history.
Just because they've been delayed in the past doesn't mean that they'll never come out. It's sort of like how you've been stuck in 8th grade for three years. Some say you'll never make it out, but eventually you'll master chapter 13 of spelling book and we'll look back on it and say, "Hey, it took a while, but we made it."

I would like to see a mirror or any type of reflective material in Half Life 2. It's been so damn long, they should have been able to incorporate that into the new (?) engine.
I like reflective material too. Hitman 2 and Deus Ex had some good mirrors. It's little touches like mirrors and working lamps that add to the ever-important "wow factor."

I'm not making any jokes in this response, but I will on the next page dudes!!! Get your click on, groove thang!
