Interview with EYE - divino and IskalL.

CS-Nation: Sublyme here talking with team EYE, the new CPL champions. What was going through your head with the whole match?

Divino: At first we were so loaded, we knew we would win the game because we felt so prepared and felt in such a good form and shape, but when the server crashed in the third round and we lost the pistol round to SK everyone was so upset, but we managed to calm down and win round after round, all this tournament has been so amazing, I mean we haven't had a single really really hard game, the worst results we had was that we won 13-9, it's been too easy. [laughs]

CS-Nation: While you're obviously a great team, you're kind of underdogs because a lot of north americans don't know of you. Do you think this gave you kind of an advantage through the tournament?

Divino: I don't know about that, all the european teams knew we were a great team, and I hope the big american teams knew that too, we mostly played european teams anyways so; we met team D!E from america and totally crushed them, and I don't believe they underestimated us because it was the semi-finals, and they were playing on mill, an american map, so yeah we kicked their asses [much laughter]

CS-Nation: Obviously all these people were predicting SK, and NoA, and 4K to place top 3, and you guys kind of snuck in there and took the gold. Does it feel great to be able to prove them wrong?

Divino: Yeah, of course, we always knew we had it in us because before big tournaments we practiced hard, we placed second at CPL Copenhagen, and before those tournaments we didn't really practice, so we practiced hard on this one, I think we are the most skilled in the world and I don't think our tactics can be beaten.

CS-Nation: Do you have any association with former CPL champion team Eyeballers 9? [E9 later renamed themselves to Ninjas in Pyjamas, won the CPL, then moved into SK and are the team you see today]

Divino: It's the same organization, the Eyeballers organization, we were an old quake team, but yeah it's the same organization but not the same players.

CS-Nation: How do you feel about the Swedish domination of the CPL since it's inception?

Divino: Yeah, in the last three or four years we've had a swedish team in the top 3 in every single tournament except for one WCG, I mean we've always been dominating and we have good connections and the Swedes are pretty rich so everyone has good computers at home, and we work pretty hard.

CS-Nation: Who is your main sponsor?

Divino: We don't have one actually, they dropped out a few weeks before hand so we had to pay $12,000 out of our own pockets to get to Dallas, so winning the $30,000 feels really good.

CS-Nation: IskalL, you went 16-1 second half and lead your team with kills. Comment?
